Description

Hydralyte may be taken on the first signs of fluid loss due to vomiting and diarrhoea. Hydralyte may also be taken to help manage dehydration caused by heavy sweating, vigorous exercise, excess alcohol consumption, or due to a hot or dry environment.

 

Warnings:

Safety Directions: Seek medical advice if vomiting or diarrhoea persists for more than:
- 6hours in infants under 6 months.
- 12 hours in children 6 months-3 years.
- 24 hours in children aged 3-6 years.
- 48 hours in children over 6 years & adults.

Important Information: Dehydration due to other causes.
Drink Hydralyte when thirsty or exhibiting the signs of dehydration.

If signs of dehydration persist, consult your health care professional.

 

Directions:

1. Fill cup with 200mL of fresh, cold drinking water. (For babies under 6 months, it is recommended that freshly boiled and cooled water be used.).
2. Empty contents of one sachet into 200mL cup of water and stir until the Hydralyte powder has dissolved.
3.Sip slowly and frequently while symptoms persist.
4. Discard unused solution after 2 hours or 24 hours if refrigerated.
5. Avoid mixing Hydralyte powder with cordial, fruit juice, soft or sports drinks as these can interfere with the rehydration process.

Active Ingredients: Natural Colour (160a), Natural Flavour, Sucrose. Sodium Chloride: 0.53g. Potassium Citrate: 0.44g. Anhydrous Citric Acid: 0.88g. Anhydrous Glucose: 2.91g. In 4.9 g (average mass) of powder.
